This is not just yoga—it’s movement, music, teamwork, and mindful play designed to help children thrive. Ms. Brown’s Brownstone is a lively, movement-based after-school class for elementary students (1st–4th grade) where children stretch, balance, sing, breathe, and move with purpose. Each class flows between active play and moments of pause, helping students release energy, strengthen their bodies, and reset after a full school day. Through engaging, purposeful movement, students build strength, balance, coordination, and confidence. Yoga poses inspired by nature, creative games, and music- and story-based activities invite creativity and problem-solving while encouraging body awareness and self-regulation. The class also emphasizes cooperation and social awareness through partner work and group challenges that require communication, observation, and teamwork. This balanced approach supports social-emotional learning while honoring students as curious, capable movers and thinkers. No prior yoga or music experience is required—just a willingness to move, listen, explore, and grow together.
