
This class focuses on balance, strength, flexibility, and physical activity. The class also develops full-body coordination, breath awareness, stamina, and focus. I will emphasize relaxation, posture, movement, and breathing. These are the principles that all martial arts teach. In this way, Martial Fitness Class is a good introduction to movement and health for aspiring dancers, athletes, and martial artists. Our exercises, games, and drills will help students enjoy movement and understand their bodies in space. During the hour sessions, there are walking drills as well as games that incorporate rolls and crawling. I start by explaining drills and demonstrating them before students copy my movements. As students work, I provide positive and constructive feedback.
